I HATE WINTER! Last night, the electricity went out. Boo!!! I had two tests to study for, which I had to do in the dark. Or by flashlight which is bad enough. There's three apartment complexes and mine was the only one that lost electricity, and then the ones behind mine. I was pretty mad. It stayed off until 6:30 this morning. It was a freeeeezing night! I'm moving to some place where the sun always shines!

So Finals Week usually sucks as it is, but it's even worse this semester! The weather is HORRIBLE! We've had so much rain! Luckily, the temperature has been right at freezing so it's not completely iced over. It still sucks though because it's still pretty slick out. Every single school, including Universities, around here shut down today but we still have class. So I'm sliding to my 8am exam this morning getting soaking wet because I didn't bring an umbrella. I figured if I was going to fall, I didn't want to have an umbrella in my hand to get in the way. I'm dodging falling branches that are weighed down with ice and just minding my own business when suddenly, this huge Marmaduke dog, you know the comic book, comes running at me. I'm just kinda standing there like well crap. If I run away, I'm going to fall. If I let him come at me he's going to jump on me and get me filthy and knock me down and I'll be even wetter than I am now. But today is my lucky day because the owner caught him when he was about 5 feet from me. So I make it to my exam. My professor comes in grumbling about having to be there and hands out the exam. The exam went fairly well (I'm feeling an A), except the electricity kept flashing on and off which was rather annoying. But I finished. When we finished our exams, we got our research papers back. (I did mine over the paradox of free will and God's omniscience in Book Three of Paradise Lost.) I was expecting a B on it, so I wasn't very excited to get it back because I needed an A to get an A in the class. Well, I go up there and tells me I need to enter my paper into this school contest next semester because it's amazing. She gave me the details and I left. Once I got out of the room, I looked at my paper and there was a nice A+ on it! I was so excited that I didn't even mind walking back to my apartment in the freezing rain!
Hopefully my luck holds out for my next 3 exams....

What is your favorite dish on the Thanksgiving table?

Well...it used to be deep fried cajun turkey. But since my dad had his heart attack, that is no longer on the menu. So now I think I like bone-in ham the best. Or strawberry pretzel salad. Or the dinner rolls. Those are prolly my top 3 favs.
So I had yet another meeting with yet another adviser. He suggested that I drop developmental psychology and math as a decision making tool and take a calculus class. Then he started worrying about me taking calc and discrete math at the same time because obviously no one has ever done that before. So now I'm thinking I'll keep developmental psych and drop discrete math instead. Then I had to figure out if I need to be in calc 1 or calc 2 so I hunted down the calc 2 teacher. It sounds like I need to be in calc 2, and the only different between my 3 credit calc 1 class and their 5 credit calc 1 class is they have a two hour lab once a week using computers or something. So the teacher is worried about my never using the stupid computer program before. I think I decided to go ahead and just try my luck at calc 2 though. So now I just have to change my schedule which means another appointment with another adviser. I'm tired of meeting with people.....
P.S. the time for calc 2 SUCKS. 8-8:50 on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday morning AND 7-8:50 on Tuesday morning. Just kill me now...
